The author is an educator, curriculum developer and author with many years of experience teaching Arabic as a second language in Australian schools. He currently works as Head of Languages and Cultural Development at Al-Ameen College in Perth and serves as President of the Arabic Teachers Association of Western Australia (ALTAWA). Over the years, he has been involved in curriculum development, teacher training, assessment and resource design. He also contributed to the development and review of the Australian Curriculum Version 9 through work undertaken under the supervision of ACARA and worked as a task reviewer with SCSA in 2024.

A significant part of the author’s work has focused on supporting Arabic teachers and helping them identify practical and effective approaches to teaching Arabic within the Australian educational context. He regularly provides professional development in areas including teaching Arabic as an additional language, curriculum planning, assessment, classroom strategies and the use of technology. He is also the author of the 12-book My Arabic Language Series, developed specifically for students learning Arabic as a second language in Australia.

The author’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Education in Visual Arts, a Bachelor of Sharia Law, a Diploma in Islamic Culture, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, and a Master of Teaching from Curtin University.
